Hi all, I wanted to clarify from my last post, as I’ve received a couple messages, that all of Steenburg Lake is in Zone 15. It is not split between Zone 18 and 15. Bass season in Zone 15 begins 27 June, and any intended catch and/or catch and release of the species is illegal.
It has been brought to my attention that there have been an increase of incidents of targeting bass. As a result, MNRF Conservation Officers have already visited a couple cottages on our lake and will be patrolling the lake more frequently in the coming weeks.
