Canada Day Boat Parade 2022

Event Hosted by Selena Bruni and family.Β  Β Everyone is welcome to participate in the parade or watch from shore!
*Enrol by contacting Selena Bruni or Chris Langman directly to let them know you will be participating and we will give you a number to put on your boat.
*Decorate your boat in whatever way you like to celebrate Canada day! You can have a theme , be creative or whacky or whimsical. Here are the categories for the judging this year.
-Canadian Critters (think loon, moose, and the controversial beaver)
-Most Patriotic
-Most Creative
Time & Location:
*If you are participating in the parade , meet at the boat launch between 3:30 and 3:50 pm, come past the boat launch dock for your photo and instruction for placement in the parade. Please have your number some where visible on your boat or hold it up for your picture and make it big enough to see from shore.
*Dave and Chris Langman in the green pontoon boat will be our Parade Marshals and lead you on the route around the lake which should take about an hour.
Parade Route:
Parade begins at boat launch and heads westward towards the Butlers and following the shore, continuing on past Pollard’s then straight past Turner’s island on the south side, between Walsh’s and Langman’s islands.
Once past the islands the parade will turn towards the beach and follow the shore along the west side then pass the beach and come back along the east shore.
It will pass between Bateman’s and Lavalee/Zeylka Islands and turn left to the bottom of the bay , down to Austen’s Bay on the east side, past Loon Island to the bottom of the bay and turning westward into the cove beside the headlands.Β  At the point you can continue on back past the boat launch or head off home to celebrate Canada Day.
